My client is currently looking to hire a Senior Party Wall Surveyor to join their team located in Central London. They are looking for someone who will be able to bear some of the workload from the Director, so you will be required to hit the ground running and able to manage your own workload.
Duties Include
- Reviewing of drawings, identifying Party Wall notifiable works, preparing and issuing fee proposals
- Advising clients and property owners on their rights and obligations under the Party Wall Act 1996
- Reviewing and assisting
- Developing and continuing to grow client relationships while bringing in work for the company
- Preparing and Serving Party Wall Letters/Notices (including Sections 1, 3 &6 Notices, 10-day letters, 10(4) appointment correspondence, Third Surveyor selection letters etc.)
- Meeting property owners and surveyors and relaying information regarding proposed development works and Party Wall Implications
- Reviewing damages to neighbouring properties, establishing cause and whether this is attributable to adjacent development works
- Attending and contributing to design team meetings
- Reviewing and amending of AutoCad drawings
- Reviewing site boundaries and title documentation
- Liaising, co-ordinating and delegating with other surveyors day to day with regards to all of the above
Qualifications and Experience
- Client facing, professional with property or construction background
- Excellent written skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to discuss projects with clients, colleagues and team members
- Good attention to detail, accuracy and diligence
- In depth understanding of property law, including areas such as easements, restrictive covenants, rights of way, trespass, access rights over neighbouring land etc
- An understanding of building pathology and ability to identify defects
- Ability to manage own time and meet deadlines
- Ability to lead a team of surveyors and ensure all work is completed on time and by the due deadline date
