Property professional required to manage the asset management team within property services department .


Joining this Local Authority at an exciting time when they are in the process of delivering a number of high profile projects and commercial investment opportunities and you will take a lead role in the delivery of these programmes.
The post also has a key management role to play with responsibility for the provision of an efficient and economic estate management service involving the administration, acquisition, disposal, management, letting and valuation of property.


Your new role
1. Act as the Corporate Property Officer and the most senior property professional within the Council ensure the effective, efficient and economic provision of property advice and services to the Council, its committees, members and officers
2. Progress the strategic management of the Council's property portfolio including acquisitions, disposals and development opportunities as they arise arise
3. Manage the multi disciplinary professional Property Services Team- 5 people
4. Act as the Councils most senior negotiator in property transactions.


What you'll need to succeed

Experience of successfully leading and managing teams

Qualified R.I.C.S. (Chartered Surveyor)

Significant and detailed knowledge and experience of complex asset management practice

Substantial experience of general practice surveying valuation experience

Significant and thorough knowledge of the local government framework and constraints relating to estate management

Knowledge of techniques for the effective delivery of complex technical and property procurement projects and typical problems associated with such projects.

Relevant experience in a similar role at a senior level in local government or equivalent.
