Cost Planner / Cost Manager

Fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Cost Planner/Cost Manager to work for a leading London-focused residential property developer on an 800 + unit residential scheme in Imperial Wharf.

The Successful candidate will be leading the next four phases of the cost plan.

This opportunity is for someone who is looking for a long-term career and progression, in return my client will supply an attractive salary / package and potential opportunity to work on a flagship residential project.

Job responsibilities -

* Analyse blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates
* Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops
* Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
* Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
* Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organising, and scheduling work

Pre-Construction -

* Attend pre-construction to operations project phase handover meetings
* Provide continuous feedback to pre-construction of current market rates to inform land bids

Cost Reporting -

* Produce project cost report and present to Commercial Director at monthly cost report meetings
* Responsible for ensuring high standard of cash flow forecasting
* Produce project cash flow and present to Commercial Manager at cash flow meetings
* Ensure that all funding conditions precedent are fulfilled

The Ideal Candidate -

* Minimum 5-7 year's experience in a surveying role and with a consultancy background
* Degree qualified
* Range of construction knowledge including main contracting and mix
* Strong and consistent performance
* Effective leadership
