Job Details
The successful candidate will lead on the German speaking regions of Europe and encompass Europe in general on top of that. The individual can be based in London or Frankfurt, with regular travel. He or she will run the day to day European business when the European Head of Capital Raising is travelling or otherwise absent. Strong track record of raising institutional capital within the German-speaking areas of Europe is required, as is a demonstrable German-speaking investor network. There is a good client list day one, but the requirement is for a 'hunter gatherer' who will bring in new institutional clients/relationships, so a strong rolodex and good experience is required.
The successful candidate will have 10-15 years of capital raising experience within real estate/real assets, ideally with some institutional experience, but will be self-starting and entrepreneurial in mindset.
The European platform will likely double/triple in size over the next 5 years and will look to raise new funds every 2-3 years, introducing different strategies and diversifying across a variety of alternative residential asset classes over time. In less than four years of European activity, this firm has invested over €1bn across 5 jurisdictions and with 10 JV partners, for investment. Fund I is fully invested and Fund II has hit its hard cap with a 25% oversubscription.
This is an excellent opportunity to be a key part of a small, but growing team in London, working in an entrepreneurial and self-starting environment for an expanding platform that is still in its European infancy, but with support resources from the US parent.
