London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) is seeking a Director of Development (North) to Lead and co-ordinate the delivery of a portfolio of property development projects, primarily in the North of the LLDC Area, which deliver the Legacy Corporation's business plan objectives and long-term regeneration vision. You will direct and manage a team of Heads of Development, Senior Development Managers, Development Managers and others, providing support, guidance, advice and leadership. As well as advise the Executive Director of Development, attending and presenting to Executive Management Team, Strategic Executive Management Team, Investment Committee and Board as appropriate on development issues.

In addition to the above you will lead the delivery of major development projects, from feasibility stage through to business planning, masterplanning, procurement and implementation, to ensure viable, vibrant and sustainable mixed-use districts. As well as lead on the development of mechanisms to bring forward future phases of development within the area of responsibility, testing different models to accelerate the delivery of housing and other alternative, commercial, leisure, and appropriate culture and educational uses. Consider supply and general market conditions to deliver viable and sustainable corporate projects.

To be considered, ideally you will have a degree level qualification in a relevant discipline, e.g. Surveying, Estate Management, Project Management and ideally a professional membership of appropriate body, e.g. RICS, or equivalent by experience. You will have a demonstrable track record in managing large and complex projects including property development, regeneration and/or infrastructure projects across commercial / residential / arts and leisure. Stakeholder management is essential as well as being able to manage and understand risk and reporting to the board.

This is a senior level opportunity within the LLDC as well as being commercially astute you will be able to demonstrate proven leadership skills.
