DIRECTOR OF PROPERTY SUPPORT

Salary: Circa £68,000 depending on experience (salary based on full-time)

The Methodist Church is seeking an experienced surveyor who is able to provide innovative ideas and solutions for managing trustees reviewing how they utilise property and land. The ideal candidate will be able to offer practical advice on the various stages of property projects of all sizes, and offer encouragement and support from the inception stage of a property project right through to completion.

The ideal candidate will have experience of being client side and working with a range of stakeholders, and be able to assist managing trustees with seeking the right professional advice at the right time. This role requires someone able to travel to meet and engage with managing trustees whilst also ensuring support is being offered to managing trustees on day to day property maintenance and regulatory compliance through written guidance and regular updates.

The postholder will work closely with the District Property Secretaries in supporting managing trustees and will ensure that high quality web-based guidance and training is offered to managing trustees and District Property Secretaries in respect of all property matters. The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting volunteers and working on a range of property projects that are not purely income driven.

This role can be based in Manchester or London and applicants wishing to fulfil this role on a part time or full time basis are welcomed. In return we offer an exceptional pension scheme, generous annual leave entitlement (plus an extra 3 days’ leave granted over Christmas/New Year), TOIL, flexi-leave and an on-site Wellbeing Adviser

This is a senior role and the officeholder will be required to fully embrace the ethos of the Methodist Church.

Closing date for applications is at noon on 26 July 2019.

Interviews will be held in London on 13 August.
