Client-Side Building Surveyor/ Asset manager

You will have a fundamental role within the company, taking lead on all the projects within the business. You will be reporting directly into the managing director and with that therefore be acting as no.2 within the company. Within the residential sector of the, you will be expected to provide asset management advice, maintain the company portfolio and maximise assets. You will mainly focus on being the project lead to a varying size of residential refurbishments, which will cover a portfolio of over 5,000+ properties around the UK.

The Role:

  • Project lead on 5,000 residential refurbishments.
  • Assist the Managing Director, by managing the company's portfolio of properties.
  • You will be acting as the primary contact for the in/out house construction stakeholders.
  • Small - medium residential refurbishments projects, ranging from £0.5-£3 million.
  • Project management of major works projects and developments -ensuring they are completed in the most commercially effective way from concept to completion.
  • Working with in-house teams to identify opportunities to increase the value of the portfolio.
  • Seek to expand opportunities within their residential sector.
  • Assisting the Managing Director in solving problems surrounding tenant complaints.
  • Analyse and report on the quarterly business activity.

The Candidate:

  • Ideally a property related degree (Building Surveying, Project Management or Construction Management).
  • MRICS is preferred but not essential.
  • A strong understanding and experience of residential refurbishment (project's up to £3 million).
  • Experience in assisting department heads with promoting excellent customer service. technical support and checking strategies are implemented.
  • Have worked for a large Private Landlord in the past.
  • Project management of major works projects from inception to completion.
