Job Details
Technical Coordinator (Architecturally biased) required to ensure the smooth and successful transfer of technical information from planning ready for start on site, and coordinate with site to help throughout build. You needn't have worked directly within a house builder previously but you must have experience working on volume residential schemes.
Client Details
Residential developer with a presence across the Midlands, South West and South East, whose housetypes appeal to 2nd and 3rd time buyers in particular. They have adopted a new mantra, focusing on quality, and an emphasis on enhancing the value no matter the cost.
Description
This role is fairly typical of an Architecturally biased Technical Coordinator within house building with your primary objective to ensure the smooth and accurate flow of technical information from outline planning through building control ready for start on site. Thereafter you will liaise and coordinate with site answering technical queries and ensuring build accuracy.
Most of the technical working drawings are outsourced so you will appoint, brief, challenge and assist all necessary consultants in their delivery of design, planning and building technology information for tendering and building purposes in a timely and coordinated manor. Once received you will submit all necessary material to statutory authorities to discharge planning conditions and building control.
Profile
For this role you will demonstrate a sound knowledge on traditional build and timber frame construction, as well as UK Building regulations.
An understanding of Robust Details and NHBCs is highly desirable, as is previous experience working within a residential developer - you needn't have to have worked within a house builder previously.
An enthusiasm to get fully involved and work on challenges to resolve them, pooling together a wealth of experience both your own and you colleagues/consultants alike.
You must have a valid UK Driving Licence.
Job Offer
Highly competitive salary with package on top: car/car allowance, annual bonus, contributory pension and flexible working including working from home once a week.
Continued training and development as required.
