Finance Manager (Property Investor / Developer)

Our client is a fast-paced, growing, property development and investment company focussed on residential development, extra care developments and strategic land acquisition.  The business are looking for a Finance Manager to join their team and will report directly to the Financial Controller, and will be an integral part of the Finance team existing and future developments as well as Group finance.

You will be responsible for the management accounts and funding requirements for all the developments with the intention to take on more responsibility as the company grows and as you progress personally.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare quarterly cash flows & update all development project budgets for investor reporting
• Prepare management accounts for subsidiary company
• Manage the production of quarterly financial reporting prepared by the 3^rd party administrator
• Prepare quarterly management accounts for various entities prepared in-house
• Prepare monthly VAT returns
• Liaise with auditors during interim and year-end audit procedures
• Liaise with tax accountants for preparation of corporate tax returns

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified accountant with excellent analytical, problem solving and technical accounting skills
• Property experience will be strong advantage – whether through audit in an accounting firm or in a fund administration business
• Highly motivated, keen attention to detail, and driven to produce a quality work product
• Ability to communicate effectively with various teams within the Company, external consultants, investors, lenders, tax advisors and solicitors
• Basic understanding of VAT and real estate structures within SPV’s
• Excellent problem solving skills, project management and communication skills
• Working knowledge of UK GAAP
