Based in Central London, our client are an investor/developer with a nationwide property portfolio, specialising in the PBSA (Purpose Built Student Accommodation) market. This market-leading developer have recently established a new funding structure and are seeking an experienced Development Project Manager with end-to-end experience to join their close-knit team.

With the stated aim of continuing to determine themselves as a ‘Premium’ Student Accommodation provider, the appointee will be joining an established setup at an exciting time. Their remit will comprise both the modernisation of existing stock as well as the oversight of the future pipeline - which is almost exclusively development led, rather than predicated on the acquisition of standing assets. Consequently, the successful applicant will gain exposure to an exciting mix of new-build, change-of-use and modular builds as well as refurbishment of existing assets.

They will have complete oversight of the entire development process, encompassing everything post-acquisition, including: development appraisals, modelling, design, planning, procurement, consultant appointment and oversight through to completion, including fund monitoring. Although this is an end-to-end role, the client has particularly emphasised the importance of the appointee’s skillset from contract procurement onwards.

The successful applicant is likely to possess many of the following attributes:

  • Degree Level education in a property/construction discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years industry experience
  • Some experience within any of: PBSA/Residential/Hotel/PRS sectors
  • MRICS/MAPM accreditation (NB. applicants MUST possess one or other)
  • Holistic development profile: from inception to completion
  • Some understanding of the financial mechanisms underpinning development
  • Prior oversight of schemes valued north of £30million GDV
  • Experience of fund monitoring
  • Reporting to internal/external stakeholders on project progress
  • Strong suite of skills bringing projects to contract, through to completion

Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 + bonus + benefits
