As the Project Manager your role will be to install and maintain world class asset management practices which will ensure that the asset base provides the service required to deliver the company's strategic objectives in the Water and Utilities sector.

Michael Page are partnered with a privately owned utilities ans asset management organisation who specialise in the delivery of utilities, water and waste water services to over 1000+ sites in the UK. They work with and delivery: waste water treatment, water services, estates services, and utilities capital project management to large public sector clients.

The services you will be covering include: boreholes, reservoirs, surface water pumping stations, sewage pumping stations, treatment works, distribution mains, oil and water interceptors, sewers and meters.

Description

Develop and manage asset management systems, strategy and policies across the portfolio on the contracts.

Ensure the optimisation of assets and operations through performance monitoring, root cause investigations and risk management.

Ensure compliance with the contractual & regulatory obligations in accordance with the company's strategic requirements.

Produce annual and long term intervention plans & programmes in line with the asset management strategy.

Deliver the company's environmental agenda.

Drive continual improvement in the assets and asset management practices.

Set strategic direction for the team in line with the company's strategy and plans

Profile

• Knowledge and understanding of asset management planning and strategy.

• Background in Asset Management and Project Management delivery plans and projects in the utilities, water or waste water treatment sectors, including capital projects.

• Credible leader.

• Experience of managing and leading a team with a proven track record of driving sustainable performance.

• Experience of programme planning and budget management.

• Understands asset risk measurement and management.

• Understanding of maintenance practices & strategy.

• Able to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships.

• Experience of strategic thinking and establishing clear strategic direction and implementing plans to deliver.
• Needs to be in a commutable distance from Barnsley and happy with very occasional travel UK wide.

Desirable

• Experience in steering a business to achieve PAS55 or ISO55001

• Experience of programme planning and project sponsorship

• Experience in implementing a cohesive maintenance strategy

• Experience of managing ISO14001
