Assets and Landlord Compliance Team Manager, Social Housing, 3 months + (Permanent vacancy), £30.00 per hr.


Your new company
Your new organisation are a Social Housing provider based in Cardiff. They are looking to recruit a new Manager into their Asset Management team to oversee a mixed technical team as well as implementing the Asset Management strategy and Landlord Compliance.

Your new role
You will be the Assets and Landlord Compliance Team Manager with overall responsibility of the planned Surveying and Asset Management functions including line management of the surveying team.

You will manage and monitor all aspects of the landlord compliance function including gas safety, fire safety, electrical safety, asbestos management, legionella management and mechanical equipment management.

Develop the organisational cyclical and planned maintenance programmes.

Deliver the impending Welsh Government De-carbonisation and Energy Reduction Programme.

Overall management of the Property and Development team to ensure all staff working within the teams are supported and trained appropriately.

Undertake viability appraisals of existing housing stock.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You will need experience of undertaking desktop reviews of landlord compliance and knowledge of all aspects
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in-depth experience in an appropriate field
  • Specialist, in-depth knowledge of asset management and maintenance, including stock condition systems and their implementation within a housing related service
  • Understanding of methods which reduce Carbon and Energy in existing properties
  • Previous experience of managing a team including performance and KPI's
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Ability to lead and develop proactive approaches to Asset Management
  • Strong IT skills and experience using Asset Management reporting systems

You will be employed through Hays Recruitment for the first 3 months and paid weekly, this position will be available permanently in the future to apply to should it be of interest.

£30.00 per hour, 35 hours per week. Flexible working hours.
