In your new job role you will be working for an established multi-discipline property & construction consultancy based in South Birmingham.

Your new role

In your new job role you will be working as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, given the opportunity to work with a varied client base including; retail, education, infrastructure, healthcare, local authorities and more. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of unique projects for contracts worth up to £30 million to smaller schemes. Your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to; evaluating costs and advise on alternative proposals, provide advice on contract arrangements and conditions under which building will be constructed, advise architects and engineers on the cost implications of different construction methods, to ensure that each element is reconciled with the cost plan allowance and the overall project remains within budget. In addition to this, you will lead from the front as regards to client facing meetings, dealing with multi disciplined teams and project delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in this role you will be an experienced Chartered Quantity Surveyor with experience within a similar role within a consultancy. You will have a proactive approach to work, as well as an inquisitive nature and analytical mind to combine your excellent written and oral skills to produce considered and robust reports and recommendations.
