Your new company
A public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor with a strong H&S and compliance knowledge to join them permanently due to a new post being created as a result of there being a solid pipeline of work.
Your new role
This diverse and varied role is not your "normal" Building Surveying post and will suit someone who is interested in splitting their week between surveying and compliance/Fire safety. You will be involved with both the residential and corporate property stock (mainly resi) and will be dealing with fire risk assessments, Legionella, contract management, budget management. monitoring projects etc. You will be based from home one day a week and the 4 days in the office will also consist of site visits.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have construction related professional qualification ie degree, CIOB, RICS, etc. NEBOSH is a bonus but not essential. You will have a proven background in residential property, you will be a trained fire risk assessor and will be up on the current legislations for both fire safety and H&S. Previously you will have supervised contractors / consultants. A full UK driving license is required for site visits. You will be competent in carrying out inspections in both voids and occupied properties.
