Senior Development Surveyor (FinTech Firm) - Birmingham

A leading technology and financial firm which could be labelled as part of the PropTech or FinTech industries have instructed Beach Baker to recruit a Senior Surveyor / Associate Director level candidate to join this dynamic firm. The FINTECH property industry has expanded massively in recent years and Birmingham is home to a market leading hub near the city centre.

My client provides senior finance for real estate projects across the UK and includes development and bridging specialist lending. The successful candidate will ideally have experience of property development and investment to allow a hands-on, expertise-led, partnership approach with developers and property companies.

The role is suitable for a qualified MRICS surveyor who can draw on General Practice experience in valuation, investment, asset management, development, or property debt funding process. The role will investigate and analyse property development opportunities with a view to debt funding the projects. You will also be responsible for mentoring graduate surveyors and, at be involved in the strategic level with the development and growth of the firm. An interest in FINTECH along with development is advisable.

The successful candidate will review, advise and discuss applications from developers and property companies. You will also advise clients on all aspects of the development process, including:

* Due diligence on developments/investments
* Structuring deals & conducting appraisals to assess potential/risks
* Providing technical development advice & building relationships with property professionals/developers
* Developing the team and internal systems/processes
* A track record of identifying development opportunities and understanding of development process.

This is a perfect opportunity for a property professional who feels restricted by the traditional property route.
