Development Surveyor

Job title: MRICS Development Surveyor Location: South Yorkshire Salary: £40,000-£44,000

An exciting opportunity to join a Client side organisation based in South Yorkshire who are currently seeking a driven and commercially aware Surveyor to join their Land and Property Ideally looking for a Chartered Surveyor with experience across development, valuation and general practice, You will have an amazing opportunity to be part of a very large development scheme consisting of Housing, Commercial, Industrial and office properties.

Your new role
You will be part of their Land & Property team appraising development sites, supporting the strategic delivery of acquisitions and disposals programme preparing them for market and negotiating acquisitions. Your role will consist of preparing viability assessments, developments, appraisals and investment valuations. You should be able to identify and implement disposal strategies, identify suitable sites for acquisition, able to identify and implement acquisition strategies, able to negotiate with land owners to secure acquisition of target sites.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be chartered in a general practice or development pathway with excellent project management skills with the ability to prepare and deliver a clear plan. You will be able to offer professional property and valuation advice along with following red book valuations. You will be able to complete development appraisals. You will have a strong commercial awareness with good client facing skills and excellent communication. Being able to cope with a high work load during busy periods is essential, you will have 4+ years previous experience in land and property development and/or regeneration dealing with a variety of customers
