There will be significant opportunity to develop outdoor sport and play facilities with emphasis on participation to deliver world class facilities to service both locals and visitors and allow health & well-being to be at heart of the estate. Critically, the ground plane uses (Retail, F&B, etc) and curation of the new public spaces will play a key role in transforming current perceptions of the area and bring a day and night time economy that will assist in driving the value of all the other asset uses.

They are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual, with strong strategic and very creative Asset Management experience to lead the Retail, F&B and Public Realm content and activation of the estate. You’ll be involved from an early stage of the new development, and they need someone who can  articulate the vision, strategy and content plan and public realm that will deliver a sustainable and vibrant new town centre. Responsibilities include strategic thinking around the tenant mix, preparing and seeking approvals for the business and management plan, inception of discussions with potential partners, tenants and negotiation of lease/licence arrangements, work closely with the development and marketing teams to curate and coordinate and deliver events, community activities, F&B, leisure, co-working and social infrastructure. You’ll also develop and deliver a temporary use strategy that evolves into a successful permanent town centre and work closely with the Development Managers as well as the banking and capital markets teams.

The successful candidate should have:

  • A proven ability to create future proofed places/deliver content from early on in the development process, with a focus on long term successful outcomes
  • A demonstrable interest in and understanding of the latest thinking on social infrastructure and the creation of places
  • Experience of masterplanning/development alongside management of standing assets/investments
  • Experience in the inception of discussions with potential partners/tenants and negotiation of lease/licence arrangements as required to secure their commitment to the scheme.
  • The ability to build an appropriately experienced and skilled  asset management team for this aspect of the development (internal, consultants, etc)  – in its widest sense – including asset managers, property managers, curators, events planners, etc
  • The ability to select and appoint and/or review existing appointments of retail and events agents/advisors and ensure that they are both appropriate and appropriately appointed for the benefit of the development. This will include on-going reviews of agent/advisor performance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to ‘sell’ in a credible and authentic manner to senior corporate executives
  • Ability to present and report to senior executives both in person and via board reports, etc
  • Resilience, persistence and a determination to succeed
  • Inspirational and energetic leader
