A public sector organisation in South Yorkshire is looking for a Capital Works Manager for a permanent role.


Your new role
You will be responsible for managing and controlling the planned and capital maintenance of dwellings and other estate properties. You will implement, manage and oversee the work programmes of other officers, manage budgets and ensure that statutory and legislative duties and Health & Safety are met. Ensure the effective scheduling and inspection of the capital programme and planned works are in line with procedures and guidelines, making sure KPI performance is achieved. Prepare detailed reports, analysing planned workloads making use of precise organisation, resources and execution of works.

What you'll need to succeed
You will hold a relevant managerial or technical qualification (such as HNC/IMBM/CIOB), have experience in a local authority environment running capital projects, with knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and Building Regulations. Experience of direct supervision of a workforce with the ability to organise and manage building projects from conception to finish.
