Development Project Manager: PRS/PBSA:

Based in Central London, our client are a multinational investor/developer with a nationwide property portfolio, specialising in the PBSA and PRS markets. The development arm of a well-heeled fund, they currently have several £billion of assets under construction and are seeking an experienced Development Project Manager with end-to-end experience to join their close-knit team.

They source and execute PBSA & PRS developments UK-wide and are currently contemplating prospective sites on the continent. Current schemes span the breadth of the country and range from around 100 - 450 units.

For the next 12 - 18 months, this role will largely focus on delivery, reflecting where our client are in terms of the development pipeline, so a well-developed post-planning skillset is a must. Ultimately, the appointee will have complete oversight of the entire development process, encompassing everything post-acquisition, including: development appraisals, modelling, design, planning, procurement, consultant appointment and oversight through to completion, including fund monitoring.

The Design, Cost and Project Management functions are all outsourced, so the successful applicant is likely to have prior experience of managing multi-disciplinary consultant teams. They could come from either a client-side OR consultancy background, although the Hiring Manager has indicated that the ideal candidate will have a blend of both.

The successful applicant is likely to possess many of the following attributes:

  • Degree Level education in a property/construction discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years industry experience
  • Some experience within any of: PBSA/Residential/Hotel/PRS sectors
  • MRICS/MAPM accreditation
  • Holistic development profile: from inception to completion, but with a particular emphasis on post-planning phases
  • Reporting to internal/external stakeholders on project progress
  • Strong suite of skills bringing projects to contract, through to completion

Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 + bonus + benefits
