About us

We’re on a mission to build the world’s leading group of children’s nurseries.

We launched N Family Club in 2017 with the aim of shaking up a stagnant sector, setting out to design the modern nursery. In a little over 2 years we’ve:

  • Launched 2 sites now both oversubscribed with +18 month waiting lists
  • Been rated ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted at our first inspection
  • Been shortlisted for three national awards and;
  • Secured an £18m investment to power our expansion

With 10 sites now secured across London, we’re planning our next phase of growth and looking for an ambitious and driven Expansion Lead to join the team.

About the role

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for someone looking to join the acquisitions & development team of a small, fast-growing company and play a meaningful role in its growth.

A truly commercial role, you will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for building the pipeline of new sites and accountable for the project management of the process from sourcing new opportunities to deal completion.

What you’ll be doing

Sourcing new sites

  • Responsible for building our network of agents, developers & landlords (our geographical focus is zones 1 – 4 London & affluent commuter towns within 1hr from London).   
  • Transactions are mainly direct long-lease investment opportunities but could also include acquiring existing nurseries.
  • Attend industry-related networking events, workshops, seminars & conferences building N’s network and our reputation amongst the landlords & developers.   

Site appraisals

  • Co-ordinating our property, design and finance teams to appraise each new opportunity (commercial, site & financial analysis).   
  • Co-ordinating bid materials, including pitch documents, offer letters and heads of terms.   
  • Present development shortlist to the CEO and executive team.

Legals

  • Lead the negotiation with landlords.   
  • Co-ordinate our lawyers and manage the process from offer through to deal completion.  

About you

  • Real estate, commercial or project management experience (+5 years) 
  • Commercial acumen – the ability to identify good / bad deals
  • Self-starter, you’ll be running a lot of this without support
  • Target driven, we are looking for someone who is hungry & results-focussed
  • A people person with the ability to sell the N vision!

Compensation & Benefits

  • 30k - £40k basic + bonus
