Land & Development Manager - House Builder – Essex £45,000 - £50,000 Plus Car, Bonus & Benefits

Client
My client is a dynamic, award winning residential developer who create and build a range of developments form first time buyer to rural family homes and restoration projects. They are looking to recruit a Development Manager with Land background who will have an integral impact in developing outstanding residential schemes.

Role
Reporting to the Land Director, as a member of the Land & Development team the Development Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of a portfolio of sites from land acquisition to build.

Responsibilities:

• Support the land team to identify new land opportunities and prepare appraisals to work up offers for sites predominantly with planning and occasionally STP
• Complete legal due diligence and liaise with external legal consultants on acquisition negotiations, development agreements, 106 disposals etc
• Manage the design, technical and legal process post-acquisition to prepare for start on site
• Assisting the Construction with legal matters related to Joint Venture schemes
• Manage the internal and external design and technical teams to create the optimal solution for the site
• Where necessary, manage consultation with the local community, local authority, GLA or County Councils and all other key stakeholders and statutory bodies
• Liaise with the technical team and external planning consultants to prepare and submit planning applications including all the relevant documentation
• Negotiate planning consents including S106 agreements.

Person
You will have at least two years of experience in a similar role working with an established Developer. You will have a good knowledge and understanding of the residential sector.
