Job Details
The successful candidate will work closely with other officers to provide highly professional and dynamic management of the Council's commercial and voluntary and community sector properties, and high-quality valuations and property related advice.
They'll be responsible for delivering a wide range of projects and programmes and will work with officers from other Services and with external stakeholders in respect of corporate programmes and initiatives including the Estate Regeneration programme.
- Wide range of estate management work in respect of the wider property holdings Market and let vacant units.
- Work closely with officers from Technical Services and with external contractors, to ensure that the commercial properties are well maintained
- Deal with a wide range of landlord and tenant issues
- Provide financial and performance information in respect of the commercial property portfolio
- Work closely with the Senior Surveyor in respect of the management of properties let to Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations (VCS)
- Deliver a programme of valuations to meet International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) requirements
- Provide professional advice, guidance including the development and implementation of the Asset Management Plan
- Act as programme manager / lead officer in approximately 1 or 2 key areas
- Procure and manage the performance of contractors to provide professional advice and support in a range of areas
