Job Details

You will be joining a large, and growing, team with an outstanding culture.

The team is encouraged to be sociable and they regularly catch up over a beer / drink.

Management do not micromanage. Staff have full responsibility for their own diary, including whether they work from home or from the office.

Working hours are sensible and relaxed. Staff are not expected to start early and finish late on a regular basis.

The company have recently reinvested a lot of money in to a new custom-made software solution designed to make work easier for their staff.

Promotion has recently been given, out of the blue, to existing team members in recognition for their excellent work. This approach is the polar opposite of some companies who wait for their staff to resign before offering a promotions or pay rise.

You will be responsible for core building surveying duties including: pre-acquisition and disposal surveys; negotiating dilapidations; determining the condition of buildings; identifying and analysing defects; proposals for repair and on-going maintenance costs; feasibility studies; preparing scheme designs with costing; organising documents for tender; and ensuring projects are completed on budget and to schedule.

You will operate across a range of commercial property types including: offices, education, retail, local authority, and healthcare.

You will typically be involved with large commissions, where projects in the region of £500k to £2m in value.

Ideally you will be a full Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). However, exceptional non-chartered candidates will also be considered.

You will be rewarded with a basic salary of up to £50k + car allowance + bonus + share options.
