Assistant Head of Valuation and Strategic Assets -Directorates
Scale PO9: Salary £61,515 rising in annual increments to £65,712 pa incl LW
Lambeth is an exciting, vibrant borough which offers a wide and varied range of work. It is a dynamic and interesting place to work, and our land holdings comprise a huge range of properties from industrial estates to parks, libraries to cafes, schools and depots.
We are looking to recruit an experienced asset manager to act client side and to advise, support and provide asset and property expertise to a number of internal teams such as Children's, Libraries, Education and Communities. As Assistant Head you will support the Head of VASA and be confident working with senior officers and councillors. As the Council experiences unprecedented cuts to its budgets, our assets are increasingly critical in the delivery of services, either directly or through third parties. There are further pressures on the team to identify opportunities to use assets more effectively. The workload is varied, busy and very interesting - we look for opportunities at every angle to deliver savings or create revenue and capital opportunities from our valuable underlying asset base.
You will be MRICS qualified with over 5 years’ experience in Landlord and Tenant issues and in working alongside project delivery teams. You will be articulate, be able to use evidence of costs and savings to justify the adoption of projects and have a track record of delivering.
The closing date: Tuesday 29 October 2019 at midnight.
Lambeth is committed to Safer Recruitment and aims for quality services and equal opportunities for all.
