Asset Manager - Residential / PRS Fund

London based Fund Management business with a number of separate funds are looking for an Asset Manager to focus on their PRS portfolio. The role will focus on the strategic management and reporting of their growing residential portfolio, on a nationwide basis. The intention of the business is to continue growing their PRS AUM and they are continually looking for new investment and development opportunities. They are now looking to recruit an experienced and credible asset manager who wants to join a small but very active team who offer great career potential. A key part of the role will be monitoring the performance of their external property managers and leasing agents, and making every effort to improve the overall operational property performance. You’ll also be heavily involved in managing the Acquisitions process of new sites; and also originating new deals; networking with housebuilders, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Work to maximise income and minimise operational expenses by working closely with operational staff
• Identify and implement initiatives to add value to existing assets e.g. refurbishments to drive higher rents or sale values
• Manage third party agents and solicitors for letting and sale transactions
• Manage capital expenditure programmes by working closely with third party contractors
• Update cashflows of existing assets under management and run sensitivity analysis of asset management initiatives
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly reports to banks and investors
• Underwriting and acquisition of new opportunities

The Candidate

• A background in a residential related Asset Management positions is essential – PRS, BTR, Student, etc
• At least 6 years industry experience, with a good network of contacts
• Confident and willing to adopt a “hands on” approach to asset management
• Ability to use initiative and work with minimal supervision
• Committed to maintaining high standards and an eye for detail
