Acquisitions & Development Manager - Hotels

This is an opportunity for an ambitious and talented hotel development professional with > 5 years' experience to join the group's Acquisitions & Development team in London, with a remit to source and underwrite hotel real estate deals of various types; freehold acquisitions, development acquisitions, long leases, commercial leases, management contracts or franchises.


Key tasks and responsibilities
* Maintain and increase project-enabling contact base and network with agents, developers, investors and funders of hotels - including contact database management
* Attend industry-related networking events, workshops, seminars and conferences for networking opportunities and training as well as future panelist
* Originate and source joint venture, management and lease contracts, support and maintain deal flow and pipeline
* Exploit expansion opportunities by targeting both new and existing hotel and/or conversion from other real estate uses to hotel
* Review Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) in collaboration with the legal team, for sign off by COO or RFC
* Screen new development opportunities and carry out initial review as well as market research and response, along with potential site visit
* Liaise with VP Project & Technical Services on technical suitability and requirements of opportunities
* Lead the underwriting and feasibility for new projects, including dataroom analysis, projections with internal support such as the RFC and Director of Revenue
* Prepare offer letters (LOIs) and pitches for sign off by the VP and execution by the CEO or COO
* Present development shortlist to CEO and executive team (eg CFO, COO, General Counsel)
* Prepare information packs for internal and external stakeholders
* Assist in organising IHIF stand and relating duties for the annual conference
* Prepare company presentations and assist internal reporting
