An independent planning and development consultancy who has been providing expert advice for over 25 years to clients in both the public and private sectors across the United Kingdom is looking to appoint a Senior Planner to join their small but growing team. Project size and complexity can range depending on the clients' assets and aims however they have advised on large-scale masterplans down to individual buildings in both rural and urban environments.

As they continue to receive new instructions in this highly competitive market, the company is looking to expand in order to continue offering a high-quality service to their loyal client base. They strive to deliver excellence across all projects, and have a proven track record of shaping new communities and delivering fantastic results for all involved.

As a Senior Town Planner within the team, you will be taking on your own workload, be trusted by the Directors to manage projects, offering sound planning advice to clients from project inception through to successful planning consent. You may also be required to manage junior members of staff where applicable and review work from time to time. Responsibilities will also include:

  • Attending and chairing meetings with LPA's & stakeholders
  • Partaking in site visits where necessary
  • Speaking at committee, public consultation and other public events
  • Preparing and submitting a variety of planning applications

You will be a member of the RTPI with a thorough understanding of the UK planning system, preferably with experience in dealing with London based projects however this is not vital. You should ideally have 3-5 years' experience, be capable of leading your projects, managing client's expectations and working closely with Local Planning authorities and sub-consultants.
