My client – a leading property consultancy – are looking for a Client Accountant to join their London team. They are offering a competitive package.
The Role
- Work with the Team Leaders to ensure there are no backlogs of work.
- Review processes to suggest improvements to standardise, streamline and simplify.
- Prepare monthly KPI’s and show month on month improvement aiming to exceed expectations.
- Manage and take full responsibility for the efficient and effective running of the portfolio, including timely and accurate reporting to clients within the specified client deadlines.
- Contribute and help deliver the Property and Asset Management Business Plan.
- Any other duties necessary to effectively manage the Accounts Team.
- Effectively manage risk by complying with Company and legislative procedures and controls. Identify problem areas and escalate issues promptly.
- Liaise with and support Surveyors on the portfolio, acting on requests and providing information in a timely manner.
- Attend/organise regular Accounts and Surveying meetings and work with them to ensure client expectations are achieved.
- Ensure the effective co-ordination of services with other teams, within the department and across Property & Asset Management.
- Attend Client Meetings and presentations as required.
Essential
- Strong Excel skills, (incl. working knowledge of pivot tables & V-Lookup tables).
- Working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Strong people management, communication and interpersonal skills to manage large teams.
- Must be flexible and able to work under pressure, multi-task and effectively prioritise.
- Organised, with attention to detail and able to work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to manage and develop strong client relationships and provide excellent client service.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- AAT Qualified or qualified by experience with several years relevant experience of working in an accounting team.
- Previous team management experience
- AAT Qualified/recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) preferable or substantial accounting and/or management operations experience.
- Knowledge of Client Systems (Yardi/MRI/Horizon).
- Knowledge of property accounts and VAT accounting
