Trainee Land Manager, Thames Valley, Residential Development, Basic c£20,000 + Car/Allowance + Bonus

About the Client 
Our client is a major housebuilder who develop an extremely broad range of projects, from major high-rise London developments to large-scale traditional housing schemes to high-end, premium housing in select locations. They have a reputation for their entrepreneurialism and due to business growth now with to appoint a trainee land manager to join their experienced team. 

About the Role 
Working closely with the Land Director and wider land team you will develop your career to become a highly effective Land Manager. Key aspects are:

• Assisting the land department in sourcing potential development opportunities across London and the South East
• Making initial contact with landowners
• Following up potential opportunities by visiting the owners and seeking to arrange meetings with more senior members of the land department

As you develop your skills you will be able to undertake a wider role and work more independently.

Personal Requirements 
Our client is keen to appoint a dynamic, friendly and professional individual who is keen to take their first step into the property development sector. Ultimately the two main key skills/attributes are the ability to build effective relationships and to work hard. Other aspects are:

• To be able to go door to door and ‘sell’ the business
• To be comfortable being out of the office 80% of the time by themselves
• Good work ethic and time management
• To be comfortable with staying overnight in hotels from time to time
• Clean driving licence
