Production Director - Award-Winning Major UK Residential Developer – Outer London

About the Client
My client is an award-winning major UK residential developer.
They are currently looking to recruit a Production Director to take over responsibility for sites across the Outer London and Home Counties (Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire).

About the Role: 
Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for leading the construction department ensuring that the product is built to program, on budget, to a high-quality and most importantly safely, managing a versatile team encompassing construction, technical and commercial managers amongst others. You will ensure that the sub-contractor base is developed and the quality and timeliness of their work is as required. You will also be expected to further develop and improve the construction team, ensuring that they have the right “tools,” systems and training in place to enable them to undertake their roles fully and advance their careers. Finally, you will play a full role in guiding the overall business to achieve its aims.
The role will focus on sites in outer London and the Home Counties (Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire).

Personal Requirements:  

• The ideal candidate will have background in construction and/or housebuilding (a builder with a construction background) and have experience in leading versatile teams, encompassing construction, technical and commercial managers amongst others. 
• You have excellent leadership skills, technical ability, a good dose of “common-sense” and a commercial mind-set. You have an excellent understanding of and relationship with the sub-contractor base within the region and able to ensure a high-level of performance. In addition you can display a track-record of developing your team.
