Maintenance Manager - Restaurants

Our client has a great brand and is a highly successful concept in the casual dining space.  A Maintenance Manager is being sought to bring a more structured and professional approach to the maintenance of the growing portfolio, someone who can have an input into all property, maintenance and project elements across the estate. 

The business requires someone with the knowledge, understanding, and contacts within the restaurant, retail and food and beverage markets to fulfil a broad role, helping the MD to deliver new restaurant construction projects, refurbishments and manage the maintenance of the existing estate.  Experience of using ProNett systems is key.  You will be the focal point for the business for property matters and be looked upon to offer support to restaurants, offering repair versus replacement costs, equipment specifications, contracts management and project management snagging.  You will be tasked to develop the contractor relationships and agreements to drive maintenance costs down, turning from a reactive to a more planned preventative approach, looking for cost savings and efficiencies.  It is hoped the candidate in this role will have an Engineering background perhaps and be able to have an input into equipment decisions and repairing or replacement decisions.  Compliance, health and safety, licensing, planning and any other real estate related responsibilities may also fall within the remit of this role. 

Candidates will need to have a project management or maintenance background from a restaurant or F&B environment.  You will need to be willing to play a hands-on role and have the scope to look strategically at setting up systems and process and contracts to professionalise their approach to delivery.  Strong communication skills are important as is an affinity and passion for the brand is key.
