Contracts Manager (with career progression), Oxfordshire c£80,000 to £95,000 (DoE)

About the Client
My client is a privately owned house builder who produce approx 100 design led units per annum across Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire. They have aspirations to increase output to 200 units per annum and as such require a proven Contracts Manager to help drive production forward and grow with the businesses.
They have good financial strength, are a stable business and are led by a strong team of tried and tested house building professionals. 

About the role:

Reporting directly to the Managing Director you will build and develop a robust production team that will passionately drive safety and quality on site. The post holder will take full responsibility for the areas of Health & Safety, pre-production, managing the construction process, cost control and customer care across current and future sites.

Key activities will include;

• Ensuring pre start Health & Safety plans are fully developed prior to start date.
• Supporting the Land Viability Exercise pre tender and pre start.
• Working in conjunction with the Technical department to produce construction programmes
• Communicating build programmes to Site Managers and ensuring they are on schedule
• Regular site visits to review progress and ensure quality and safety standards are being met.

The successful candidate will be able to deliver all functional activities however this is also a strategic role and requires someone who is looking for an opportunity to drive standards in line with ambitious business plans and strong values
