Hours: 37 per week

Greatwell Homes is a provider of affordable housing and support services in the East Midlands. They own and manage around 4,600 homes with a £22 million turnover and a mission to work successfully with customers and communities alike.

Hays have been appointed to help them secure a new Head of Asset Management to work with other Heads of service to take responsibility for the operational delivery of Greatwell Homes services. You'll lead on the development and delivery of Asset Management related strategies and projects.

Providing inspirational leadership to all of the functions within the Asset Management team, you'll support the development of talent in these areas and you'll continuously look for new solutions and innovative ways to improve working methods and practices. Set budgets, monitor and control expenditure and ensure that all services deliver value for money, also develop and review strategies, policies and frameworks and provide specialist, authoritative advice on the implications for the organisation, designing solutions that meet strategic requirements.

The successful candidate will be degree level qualified or equivalent and will hold a professional qualification (RICS / CIOB / RIBA) along with having evidence of commitment to continuous personal and professional development. You will have a thorough understanding of the sector, political agenda and regulatory landscape for social housing providers along with knowledge of asset management and the legal, regulatory and operational framework including health and safety. Project and contract management experience essential along with experience of leading an asset management function within a housing context. You'll be a strong people manager who can lead, motivate and develop staff to their full potential.


* Work as part of the wider Senior Management Team (head of service posts) to take responsibility for the overall operational performance of Greatwell Homes
* Lead on the development and delivery of Asset Management related strategies and projects
* Lead on ensuring compliance with the Home Standard
* Be responsible for the delivery and compliance with all required health and safety activities including corporate responsibility
* Act as the internal expert and report to the Executive on business intelligence related matters.
* Provide strong leadership and direction to all staff within the function.
* Support the strategic work of the Executive team including:
- The development and implementation of strategies
- Embedding change across the organisation
- Representing Greatwell Homes and building relationships with external stakeholders to increase the organisation's profile.
* To be responsible for delivering customer service and embedding customer charter
