Client Details
My client is a large property holder in the Lincolnshire area.
Description
The key responsibilites of the Interim Major Applications Officer are:
To deal with all EIAs and Scoping Opinions in connection with major planning
applications.
To negotiate S106 agreements in connection with major planning applications.
To write and present reports to the Planning Committee.
To provide pre-application and specialist advise to both internal and external parties on
sites relating to major planning applications.
To deal with planning appeals including the preparation of statements and attendance at
informal hearings and Inquiries and carrying out site visits.
To appear as a witness for the Council at planning inquiries to provide specialist
professional advice.
To assist and provide guidance to the Senior Planning Officers and Planning Officers and
assist in the day to day running of the planning service in the absence of the Service
Manager.
To sign off delegated planning decisions as required.To use the planning software system (Acolaid) to enter and retrieve information as
requested.
Profile
The knowledge and skills required for this position are:
The post holder should have a relevant degree and planning diploma coupled with experience gained over a number of years. The post holder requires an advanced in depth knowledge of the planning system and its associated national and local policies.
The post holder must be able to give complex advice and interpret the planning legislation.
The post holder must have the ability to communicate at a high level both verbally and in written form and be able to present themselves to an audience.
This post requires a high degree of tact and diplomacy and must be able to deal with difficult customers when working alone.
omputer literacy is essential to this post.
Job Offer
The client is open to discussing daily rates of applicants based on experience. Hourly rate, LTD, UMBRELLA OR PAYE routes of payments allowed. As are flexible working arrangements.
