Aids & Adaptation surveyor - Interim role - Inside IR35 - North London - up to £30 p/h
Your new company
On behalf of a well established Public Sector Organisation in North London, Hays Property & Surveying are looking for 2 Aids and Adaptation Surveyor, to join their Housing Team.
Offices are based close to local bus and train stations making this a very commutable location.
Your new role
The overall objective of this role is to assist the Aids and Adaptation Manager, to coordinate an efficient, cost effective and customer focused Adaptations service with the responsive repairs team.
Some of the duties include:
* To carry out home visits to undertake preliminary technical inspections and to advise customers and colleagues on reasonable and practicable adaptation schemes to meet the needs of the disabled person.
* To liaise with contractors & co-ordinate asbestos works on site.
* To carry out post visits to ensure all works are completed satisfactory and to occupational therapist/ surveyors specification and brief.
* To monitor contractor performance, contract period, standard of workmanship and materials.
What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate you will:
* Strong experience in a similar role
* Experience and excellent prociency in autoCAD
* Experience of surveying or inspecting assets for condition or defect and developing or scoping details and accurate schedule of works.
* Demonstrates substantial experience of dealing with the public, resolving queries/problems or giving advice.
* In depth knowledge of building pathology and the ability to accurately diagnose defects.
* Knowledge of policies and procedures relating to repairs and maintenance.
* Health & Safety.
