About the Client
My client is an industry leading mixed-use developer who undertake major, urban regeneration projects across the UK. They now wish to appoint a highly capable director who will lead the development of a portfolio of major projects across the wider North West. A typical project will in involve working with major stake-holders (i.e. Local Authority and commercial partners) and the product mix could include commercial, retail, offices, residential and other purposes. Their portfolio and pipeline is very strong and they are very well connected within the region. The business has an excellent reputation as a place to work and the team has a real passion for property.
About the Role
As Development Director you will be responsible for the management of c2-3 major, mixed-use regeneration projects. You will lead all aspects from identifying potential projects, appraising, securing and acquiring development opportunities. Once secured you will lead the development process and project management/delivery aspects. In addition you will deal with financial and project reporting, lettings/disposals and ensuring effective leadership of the project working closely with various stakeholders. Whilst not directly responsible for, you will offer your expertise and experience to other members of the team helping them to develop their experience and skills.
Personal Requirements
You will have demonstrable experience of leading and delivering major mixed-use projects and have the gravitas and drive to play a hugely important role within the business. You have excellent communication and networking skills with a strong contact base within the region. You are ideally professionally qualified (MRICS, MRTPI etc.) You are commercially astute with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to carefully progress complex, multi-stakeholder projects to a mutually beneficial outcome.
