Your new company
Based in East London this public-sector organisation is involved in one of the biggest regeneration projects within the East London area.
The area is currently going through a major redevelopment and regeneration process and this organisation in partnership with the private sector, are looking to become one of the leaders in delivering projects which make a real difference.

They are currently establishing a new structure which brings together housing, planning, regeneration, housing delivery and economic development in a single directorate. They are therefore looking for an Interim Head of Regeneration who has a track record of delivering regeneration projects at scale and on time.

Your new role
As the Interim Head of Regeneration, you will lead on all aspects of key regeneration projects, within the East London area, working to deliver corporate objectives and building strong and resilient communities. You will be responsible for the team which is delivering key large-scale regeneration projects, primary large housing estates, however there are also plenty of mixed use projects to deliver at various stages. All projects are multi-million pound programmes with a high level of internal and external stakeholder involvement.

Another key part of the role is rigorous project management and budget control skills to manage Regeneration programmes and project delivery.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have excellent people management skills as this will also be integral to the role. Experience of managing a team of senior professionals effectively.
Responsible for the performance management of the wider Regeneration Team so will have an excellent ability to coach and manage teams to deliver a world class regeneration service.
You will need to build strong relationships quickly with your peers, direct reports, elected members, the community and the wider organisation.

As the successful candidate will need to demonstrate a proven ability and experience of leading development of large complex housing regeneration projects in urban areas and managing large capital and revenue budgets.
A combination of experience in effective resident engagement and conducting commercial negotiations within multi-stakeholder environments is also key to your skills set.
