Assistant Quantity Surveyor & Quantity Surveyor

Manchester

Permanent Position: £25,000 - £50,000 plus car allowance and package

The Company

This housebuilder has come up with a different way to help solve the housing crisis, which is proving very popular with customers and local councils alike. They have a great reputation for delivering award-winning and quality homes with a solid pipeline of upcoming projects.

This success is set to continue with the business going through an exciting period of growth and expansion which has led to these commercial hires.

The Role

With so much expansion and new projects, it’s easy to see how a role with this business would lead to plenty of opportunities to grow and develop and even be promoted within the company.

The role and responsibilities of this position include the following:

  • Develop new and maintain existing relationships with contractors
  • Undertake and report on tender processes for all trades
  • Prepare budgets for approval
  • Place sub-contractor orders
  • Monitor and control build costs
  • Prepare monthly commercial reports, both internal and external

The Candidate

This position would be ideal for anyone who has experience working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor working for a housebuilder or a business that constructs traditional build houses.

The position would be ideal for someone who had a glass ceiling at their current place of work and is keen to join a business that can help them progress. Or for an individual who does not have the opportunity to get involved with the scope of commercial activities they want to and is looking for the opportunity to broaden their skillset.
