Head of Facilities and Safety (East Midlands)

Our client is a Property Company with a portfolio of sites across the country and require an experienced Facilities Manager to be responsible for the maintenance and safety within the 

This is a new role, bringing together a more focused and dedicated support for all maintenance, facilities, small projects, health and safety and other contract management.  The role will be responsible for:-

• Development and management of an effective maintenance function (reactive and preventative)
• Budgetary control and responsibility for contractor / supplier appointment and management
• Manage in-house resources and maintenance team
• Take responsibility for external Health and Safety consultants to develop and instil a culture of responsibility and safety throughout the business
• Produce regular reports and management information for senior team
• Aim to provide first-class service for external customers and clients

We are looking for candidates with a strong FM background and H&S qualifications.  Experience of working within a multisite and consumer focused business is important so candidates with experience of working within leisure, retail or other consumer environments would be an advantage.  Client or FM Service Provider side experience both relevant.  Candidates will need to have experience of bringing about improvement and changes to FM processes and a strong character to manage teams and influence positively at all levels of an organisation.
