As the Head of Strategic Property Planning, you’ll create and deliver a strategic property plan, which provides a single point of focus for investment planning in both our new and existing homes.

In this role, you must ensure we have a long-term strategy that balances our investment between our planned investment plan, new homes plan and our sustainability strategy. You'll set the framework and parameters (both financial and non-financial) by which we will make investment and divestment decisions about our property assets and land. You’ll develop strategies for our non-housing assets, including land and our non-core assets, lead on the assessment and business case creation of all strategic stock acquisitions and disposals, setting and reviewing the home standard for our new and existing homes. All of which will enable our current and future customers to thrive.

You’ll take responsibility for the options appraisal process for individual properties (including voids) and groups of assets, looking at the best future use of our property and land, identifying opportunities for disposal and regeneration. You will own the data within the strategic property planning framework, ensuring it is maintained and meets legal and regulatory requirements, presenting findings, trends and opportunities to board and key stakeholders.

We expect you to be well-informed of local authorities and other key stakeholders priorities and use strategic insight to influence our partners so that we can achieve our strategy. You will support the transformation of the service, putting measures in place to continually improve and innovate to deliver excellent value for money.

You’ll be a member of the investment senior leadership team, working collaboratively with your peers to ensure targets are met and our strategy is achieved. You need to be proactive and self-motivated, always looking for new ways of working to improve the service.

This location of this role can be flexible and will involve travel across our geography, so you must hold a full, clean driving licence.

 As Head of Strategic Property Planning, you will bring:

  • Housing or regeneration qualification (not essential, but preferred)
  • Five years of housing experience
  • Experience of securing and maintaining productive relationships with key partners and stakeholders
  • Strong leadership experience with a coaching approach to getting the best out of your team
  • Financial acumen and experience of delivering and reporting on development programmes
  • Excellent relationship building and connections with key partners and stakeholders
  • A commitment to our DNA and be an ambassador for Bromford.

Your experience in previous roles could include head of property, head of development and operations, head of estate, senior property planning manager, planning manager, amongst others.

We would expect to pay a salary of circa £80,000 for this role however, for the right candidate, there is scope for further negotiation.
