Newark and Sherwood has a lot to be proud of; a captivating history, beautiful countryside, characterful market towns, world renowned businesses and an enviable location at the crossroads of the country’s transportation network. As a small district council with a large land footprint we also own a number of assets, including commercial properties, council houses and a variety of buildings and venues. We’re looking for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to lead and develop our small, recently formed team. With substantial post qualification experience and extensive knowledge in strategic Asset Management, Estates Management, Buildings and Facilities Management the successful candidate will be adept at leading on landlord and tenant lease management, rent reviews and general tenant liaison, asset challenge/rationalisation, maximising assets potential in both commercial and maintenance practices. You’ll be a good communicator who is able to work to strict deadlines and manage and motivate the team to work together and make a key contribution in the delivery of our business plans and priorities.
