Client Accountant – London – Up To £50,000 Per Annum

An opportunity has become available for a Senior Client Accountant based in London. Our client is looking for an experienced Client Accountant to work within the accounting team works closely with their high profile clients. The team are

Role & Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for the management of property and lease data, best-practice service charge account management, and the provision of accurate and timely financial reporting, all combining to provide a day to day property accounting service
• Responsible for all aspects of client and property accounting with a designated portfolio
• Preparation and submission of Owner Statements, VAT Reports and other reports as required by the client
• Report to the Team Leader on a regular basis and keep them informed on relevant issues relating to the designated portfolio
• Support the Team Leader in the performance of the team, offering advice and instruction to other members of the team where required
• Responsible for the line management of a small team
• Ability to work with and motivate people, handle team dynamics and ensure that all company line management requirements are met in good time
• Ensure all tenders received are accounted for correctly, in accordance with RICS regulations and current legislation
• Ensure all transactions are reported to the client in accordance with their requirements and agreed timescales
• Produce and reconcile monthly and quarterly reporting
• Update and monitor the property management accounting system
• Work with the Assistant Client Accountant to ensure there are no backlogs of work
• Be familiar with RICS regulations, CIS, VAT & NRL requirements, and the internal procedures manual.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Successfully demonstrable experience with commercial property accounting

• Responsibility for your own designated portfolio of clients
• Experience of working with property management systems.
• Ability to investigate and correct reconciling items
• Comprehensive and demonstrable service charge experience
• Proven experience managing people and teams
