Interim Development Manager

Are you a residential development manager with local authority experience?

An East Midlands council is looking for an experienced Development Consultant to assist on an ambitious development programme.

This organisation offers a large and wide ranging development portfolio at various stages of the development process so there's lots for you to get your teeth stuck into. This will be a great opportunity for an individual to work on a variety of challenging yet rewarding projects.

The Role:

• The role will be an all round development role with a focus on post planning, design team management and construction.
• Strategic management of project teams through detailed design stages to meet project milestones.
• Optimising opportunities to add value or buildability.
• Negotiating main contracts 
• Oversight and management through construction phases

Ideally, you will have the following experience:

• Strong design and planning technical knowledge, particularly for residential led mixed-use development
• Commercially astute with strong numerical skills and a good understanding of development economics
• Ability to carry out financial appraisal, with excel skills
• Strong project management skills from inception to completion, across a range of developments (both small and large scale)
• Strong leadership skills, with experience/ability to manage conflicting requirements amongst multiple stakeholders, within both the public and private sector
