Role Summary

We have an opportunity for a Development Manager to join our Development Team which is leading on the development of residential and commercial schemes at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and other projects within the wider London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) area. The post holder will work with a multi-disciplinary team across the development directorate to undertake due diligence, resolve issues and provide input to site masterplans, planning applications and strategies to procure development partners. They will be responsible for the tendering and management of consultants, budgets, defining and monitoring project outputs and programmes, risks & issues and performing other day to day project management tasks.

The Person

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of delivering residential and commercial projects, and up to date knowledge of property and planning law, as well as a good understanding of regeneration best practice.

The successful candidate will have a qualification in, or have demonstratable experience in, a relevant discipline such as Surveying, Project Management or Planning and be working towards, be willing to work towards or already hold a suitable professional accreditation (MRICs/MRTPI), or in the process of becoming accredited.

The London Legacy Development Corporation is also entering into an exciting period with the construction of the East Bank project – a new powerhouse of culture, education, innovation and growth – which will create sites at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for Sadler’s Wells, BBC Music and the V&A (in partnership with the Smithsonian Institution), as well as the University of the Arts London's London College of Fashion and the University College London.
