Alternative Investment Manager is seeking an experience real estate asset manager to support the management of the firms real estate portfolio in the UK based in Surrey with remote working.

Key responsibilities

  • The Asset Manager will report into the Founder
  • Implement detailed business plans and asset management strategies to meet all investment objectives
  • Help develop highly detailed business and strategic operating plans for the firms real estate assets
  • Assume responsibility for the execution of individual asset level business plans
  • Monitor performance against budgets, income and cost control, project timetables and exit strategies
  • Oversee quarterly valuation reports and financial projection models
  • Financially appraise and monitor all capital expenditure programs
  • Develop quality commercial relationships with all direct tenants, external service providers & professional teams
  • Where appropriate, directly negotiate leases, rent reviews and lease re-gears
  • Select, instruct and manage all third-party service providers
  • Take ownership of asset management reports to investors
  • Present asset management performance reviews

The Person

  • Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Engineering, Architecture, Business, Economics, or Finance
  • MRICS qualified.
  • 8-15 years of relevant real estate asset management experience is required.
  • Demonstrable hands-on residential and commercial asset management experience in the UK real estate market.
  • Those with retail and development experience would be at an advantage.
  • Proven real estate asset management experience
  • background from real estate investment manager, asset manager, private property company or family office.
  • Track record of undertaking repositioning, re-development and refurbishment of assets and portfolios in the UK.
  • The Asset Manager will need to demonstrate hands-on asset management experience across direct real estate.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to hit the ground running and work independently as part of a small, entrepreneurial team.
