Business Rates Partner - Bristol

Beach Baker are instructed by an award-winning property firm to recruit a Director /Partner level RICS registered Rating Surveyor based in Bristol.

The Role:

Business rates is a large liability for all businesses and my client rating service ensures the best possible support in effectively planning and managing rates liability, to save money and improve long-term success.

The successful candidate will have extensive rating surveying experience and work with a large existing client base. You will advise corporate occupiers, property companies, developers and investor clients on all aspects of Business Rates consultancy.

Dealing with appeals through to the tribunal you should be confident in dealing with external advisers, clients and colleagues at all levels. Standards for delivering consistently high-level communication and prioritisation for clients is paramount with a great team attitude to succeed.

Candidates will need to demonstrate the ability to provide first class rating advice and client management skills combined with the ability to take on professional negotiations with the Valuation Office.

Responsibilities:

• Undertaking business rate appeal work
• Dealing with clients across the South West and beyond
• Proactive business development of clients
• Working with other departments to enhance revenue streams
• Building successful relationships with clients, internal teams & external advisors
• Help to develop the strategic direction of the rating department.
