Calling all Valuers. Positions for the office of Fee-paid Valuer Chairs and Fee-paid Valuer Members of the First-tier Tribunal, Residential Property Tribunal available
Are you a Chartered Surveyor that is a Fellow or Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors? Do you have knowledge and experience of valuation and the ability to apply it to the Residential Property Division? Are you able to provide 4 years of service before retirement? If you’ve answered yes to these questions, then we’d love to hear from you.
Vacancies are available on the First-tier Tribunal, Residential Property Tribunal. As a non-legal member of the Tribunal, you would be directly involved in reaching decisions to uphold justice on matters relating to property and land within the UK. Valuer Members take the lead in matters of valuation in hearings, working with other tribunal members to reach fair and impartial decisions. The role includes asking appropriate questions and considering evidence. Valuer Chairs also manage the hearing and make sure the issues are discussed and presented fairly and fully, and prepare written decisions.
There are 25 vacancies available across England. Training is provided by the Judicial College prospectus for Valuer Chairs and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in-house training is available for all members . This is a great opportunity to use your expertise as a valuer to help other Tribunal members understand the issues they are being presented with and make sure all parties get a fair hearing.
