Job Details
The role will undertake the assessment of all proposed locations for the company's properties and where appropriate to include robust sales and margin forecasts. You will provide supporting information and data to the team, which will enable investment decision to be made for trading sites new planning applications and redevelopment opportunities.
The Role:
- Develop sales and margin forecasts to enable investment recommendations and decisions for new sites
- Prepare impact assessments of future competitor store openings
- Assess potential locations, and sales forecasts for new and replacement sites
- Source current sales trend analysis to better support repair and enhancement works costs for FM and Estates decision making
- Work alongside all property functions to deliver forecasts and supporting information
- Assist in the sourcing, maintenance and development of appropriate systems, information/data and analytical process to support across all business functions
- Experience in a location planner role in either retail or wider commercial roles
- Ability to explain complex data findings to a range of audiences
- In depth knowledge of the retail landscape across the UK
- A pragmatic approach to combining data outputs with observation and experience to produce sound commercial judgement
- Experience in the use of geo-demographic market analysis
- Able to apply a variety of modelling and forecasting techniques to explain and predict performance
