Starting salary between £27675 and £35979 per annum
Plus Essential User Car Allowance

In addition to its operational property portfolio the council owns a diverse commercial property portfolio that includes retail, light industrial, offices, and leisure premises located around the borough, but mainly within the urban areas of King’s Lynn, Hunstanton and Downham Market. The commercial portfolio is important to the council owing to the revenue it generates and this portfolio needs to be proactively managed. We are looking to expand our commercial property holdings and we are in the process of developing new business premises within our Business Park (and Enterprise Zone) at the Nar Ouse Regeneration Area (NORA) in King’s Lynn. At the NORA site we are also investing significantly in the delivery of road infrastructure that will open up the site for further development opportunities. The Valuer position within the council will have a significant role in helping us to maximise the outputs from the council’s commercial assets.
We have an opportunity for you to be a Valuer who will contribute to the effective portfolio management of the Council’s property estate and for delivering a range of property services. Duties will include acquisitions, disposals, valuations, lettings and marketing, landlord and tenant, regeneration and management and ensuring full compliance with corporate objectives and statutory requirements.
You will have completed a RICS accredited degree and have a member level status of RICS with experience in valuation /property management. You will have effective communication skills with the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a small team. You must have a full driving licence with access to a vehicle.
