This is an exciting time to be part of a team responsible for delivering 1000 new homes across the City of Southampton. This is an opportunity for you to play a significant role in making Southampton an even better place for those residents, visitors and those who work in the city.

We are looking for a highly motivated Estate Regeneration Manager with experience in managing and delivering housing regeneration projects.

The role is multi-faceted, and you will manage project teams to successfully deliver new housing projects from inception through to completion working across multiple Council departments to ensure schemes are delivered in accordance with the Council’s requirements and that projects demonstrate value for money.

You will need to have excellent commercial awareness and success working with budget controls, monitoring and reviewing project costs to ensure completion within agreed budgets.

You will have good analytical and problem-solving skills managing complex projects and experience of public sector procurement and bidding for Homes England funding is highly desirable.

You will have excellent communication skills and experience in building effective partnerships with community stakeholders.

You will have relevant experience working in a political context, preferably with Local Authorities and have excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with council staff at all levels and working with contractors and elected members to ensure that the highest standards are achieved.

You will have the ability to work independently and respond positively to workload pressures.

You will have a degree level education and an appropriate project management qualification such as APM, Prince 2, or RICS qualification, or have relevant experience as a Project Manager.
